Purim 5768 At Etz Chayim

Ok. So we tried something really different this year!

We enjoyed the world premier of the fabulous Purim spiel:  Who Wants to Marry a Tyrant?  (Note: several congregants had this to say about the title: "Been there.  Done that.")  Here are some highlights from the play.

If anyone has more digital pictures, please send them to Larisa so we can get an even better photo record of our fun evening.

A few shots from the dressing room....

Our illustrious synagogue president!    Another synagogue babe...       Here's beautiful Queen Esther

and more!                                                                 Vashti!                      Who's this?

Ok. so we all got kind of wild.....

Finally, the play began.....

That King's a Party Guy!                                          But Vashti isn't a party girl.  Apparently.

Mordecai holds a beauty pageant to find the most beautiful woman in the kingdom to marry the King.  Who could pass up these beautiful contestants?

Wow.  Can you believe that stupid King chose Queen Esther over these "girls"?

After a plot is foiled, Haman becomes Prime Minister.  And celebrates...

Mordecai disguises himself to beg Esther to help save the Jews of Shushan...

The King is "Sleepless in Shushan"      So he gets a bedtime story.

Maybe Haman can help him out.           What? You mean MORDECAI is the one being honored?

And it all works out just great.
