Etz Chayim Care Committee Guidelines
Etz Chayim Synagogue Care Committee supports our congregants during times of happiness and difficulty. Providing a meal-train for families, giving a restaurant certificate to people recovering from prolonged medical treatments as inpatient in a hospital, is just one example.
We will offer a gift or gift certificate for member's new baby. We will make friendly phone calls or send caring cards during times of illness or challenging times, and during a death or tragedy.
Death of a member's immediate family the committee will have Shiva meals prepared by volunteers and coordinate delivery to the home. We will keep in mind to ask if they have any allergies to certain foods and how many people they have residing in their home. A condolence card will be sent to the member's home stating it is from their Etz Chayim Synagogue family. The Care Committees goal is to help!
