Donate To Etz Chayim

The synagogue is happy to accept donations in any amount! We have a small budget and depend on donations from members and the community. Donations are tax-deductible and can be made by check or credit card (online only via PayPal).

 Information Needed With Donations

When you make a donation, please remember to provide the following information:

  • Name and mailing address: This is so we can send you our thanks and acknowledge your tax-deductible contribution.
  • Whom you're honoring or remembering: If this is in memory of someone or in honor of a special person or life cycle event, the synagogue will send the family or the honoree an acknowledgement of your gift to the synagogue.
  • The appropriate fund: Please advise if you'd like the donation to go into a particular fund (building fund, education fund, etc.). Donations not specifically targeted to a particular fund will go into the General Fund.

 Donate By Check/Postal Mail

To donate by check, please send your check to the address below, and mark the envelope to the attention of the treasurer. Please remember to provide the information listed above (your address, who or what you're honoring, and the fund you wish to donate to).

Mail your check to:

Make An Online Donation By Credit Card

Thanks to PayPal.com, our small congregation is now able to accept online credit card donations without incurring heavy processing fees. Unlike regular merchant account setups that could cost us as much as $100 each month, PayPal contributions incur a small service fee of 3% of each contribution.

When you click on the DONATE button at the top of this page or on the home page, you'll be taken to the PayPal Web site where you can enter the donation information. PLEASE make sure to provide all the requested information so we can properly acknowledge your contribution!

 How To Donate Via PayPal

  1. Click on the DONATE button. You'll be taken to the PayPal Web site - which is secure and encrypted. It's safe to use your credit card!
  2. Sign into your PayPal account. If you have a PayPal account already set up, you'll be able to donate either by check or credit card.
  3. Donate without a PayPal account. A PayPal account is not required to donate! However, you can only donate via credit card, not your checking account.
  4. Enter the requested information and donation amount. Remember, we pay a 3% fee, so why not donate a little bit extra?
  5. Enter your mailing address as the shipping address. Don't worry, we won't send you anything but a grateful acknowledgement of your gift!
  6. Note in the "Comments" box who the donation is for and which fund you'd like it applied to.

We're offering this PayPal service on a trial basis, hoping make it easier for our members and others in the community to send donations. Please let us know what you think about it!
